After numerous exhibitions in which the titles of my pieces and the artist statements began to sound increasingly as though they'd been penned by Dr Seuss, I made the (rather unsophistocated) decision that I am not an artist but a scribbler of stories. So... I replaced the cheap gallery champagne with red cordial and a healthy dose of toilet humour, and here you have it.
I have a passion for detail- creating pictures that children come back to again and again, each time discovering something new. I also like adding a bit of visual giggle, and lots of imagination.
I have done a number of private commissions for both illustration and art. My most recent project, Imagine, written by Emma MacTaggart (Boogie Books) won gold in the Independent Publisher Awards in the US for Best Illustrated Childrens E-book, and was exhibited in the Asian Festival of Children's Content in Singapore.
